11/24/2023 0 Comments Aer small travel pack![]() If I could get away with a little less carry the Black Ember Forge Max (even when expanded) might work better but it just ended up always being not quite long enough.Ĭurrently looking at the Techonaut to replace the Forge Max to offer more length as well as the laptop pocket. Longer bags like the PD Travel Bag or Aer Duffel 3 worked much better for this load out. This made it unwieldy for all three kinds of carry. After loading the clothes compartment with weekend attire (2 pairs of undergarments, a change of hiking clothes, and maybe khaki pants for a dinner, plus small toiletry bag and electronics kit, and finally an iPad Pro) the bag almost became a cube. I think the main problem is the bag felt just a little squat for what I wanted to do with it. I was mostly using it for weekend travel on planes as well as road trips. I guess I'll put myself in the minority here and say that I tried very hard to like the Ember Forge MAX, but it never really felt right. The Forge is also very comfortable for me and I’m a 5’2 petite gal. It’s honestly not a lot and I don’t think it would be great to put anything else, because it would make it bulky and would be a hassle at trying to get.įor work: I WFH, but when I do go into office I’m just carrying a 15in laptop, notebook, small Planck keyboard and pens. Regardless the Aer TP3 small is a Great bag and can easily handle double duty for commuting/EDC and travel needs. Lastly, the front pocket is great for dumping things going through TSA + my noise cancelling headphones. I’ve been happy with it but found myself going back to my EG CHZ26 to use for EDC as the frame is a little more streamlined and the water bottle holder feels a little more secure. I carry an 11in iPad in the other compartment and stash the laptop chargers in “clothing” area along with a small packable duffel (in case I buy things at my destination and can’t fit it in my checked in luggage). I’m going to honest though, I don’t think it would be a good EDC bag lol.įor planes: I carry two 15in laptops in the laptop area. I’m 6’3 170lbs and I have the travel pack 3, I find it a little big for EDC but if you cinch the straps down it looks manageable. The Aer Travel Pack 2 picks up right where it’s predecessor left offa great one bag travel pack with a slick look and high attention to detail. I now use it for work and as my personal item on planes where it is works perfectly! Im currently looking at the Able Carry Max and Aer Travel Pack 3 as they are some of the larger/longer backpack which would potentially fits my. ![]() I have no experience with the flight pack, but I do have the BE Forge! I’ve loved the look of the bag since it first came out, but didn’t think it’d be functional for me so only just recently purchased the bag.
